About

Jacqueline’s practice explores what happens when the home is left to its own devices through the whimsical lens of impermanence and materiality. As dust collects into an inescapable film, forgotten fruits rot and the home’s landscape shifts from a room to a nest to a shell, what will become of our dwellings as we slip into the wilderness? When more than human invaders creep into our territories in search of refuge, will they be met with vicious expulsion, or could we perhaps begrudgingly accept their company? Rooted in a fascination with organic ephemerality, she aims to explore these ideas by tracing personal rituals buried within found materials and domestic scraps. As her practice grows, Jacqueline strives to enthral the viewer into her in-between world where the mundane meets mythology and folklore nestles within the rhythms of routine.

She is studying for her BA in Fine Arts at Central Saint Martins (CSM). She has co-curated and shown in group exhibitions such as ‘Body of Earth’ and ‘In between what once was’ at Camberwell College of Art (2024 and 2023), as well as exhibited in ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ at Boomer Gallery (2023) and in ‘Metamorphosis II’ at The Holy Art Gallery (2023). Jacqueline was also featured most recently in Suboart’s September 2024 (Nr.29 issue) as well as in Artist Talk’s 28th issue (2023) and Precious Magazine's 81st issue (2019).
